What to Expect at Your First Class

Congratulations on signing up for your first class at Aerial Fifty Two! If you’re nervous about what to expect, don’t be! Here are some tips to make your first time the BEST time. After all, we want to see you come back again and again!

Signing up:
If you have not already done so, please create a profile on our website or via the MindBody mobile app. Upon purchase of a membership, you will be able to sign up for classes. Clients must pre-register for classes to reserve their spot and registration opens 4 days in advance. Special Note: There is absolutely no admittance to class 5 minutes after start time. If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, we reserve the right to give your spot to another student as you have now missed half of the class warm-up. All first-time clients must arrive at least 15 minutes before the class start time to sign the waiver and disclosures.

What to wear:
Fitted workout clothing allowing for freedom of movement are recommended. Shorts are suggested for all pole classes as you will need bare skin along the knees, shins, and upper thighs to grip the pole although leggings can also be worn. Refer to the class descriptions for specific attire recommendations. Special Note: Please do not apply oil-based lotions before class as this will make the pole and floor slippery and be prepared to remove rings, bracelets, and watches prior to the start of class.

Start with a Warm-Up:
To prevent strains and sprains, prioritize full participation in the instructor led warm-up routine. The dynamic stretches and movements of a warm-up will increase blood flow to your muscles and joints ensuring a safe and fun class. Make sure to listen to your body—progress at your own pace, and don’t rush into complex tricks before you’ve mastered the basics. This is why we, at Arial Fifty-Two, always encourage starting in the Intro classes and progressing at a pace that is right for you.

Stay hydrated:
You’ll be working up a sweat during these sessions so don’t forget to bring your water bottle! You need to drink water during exercise to replace the fluids you lose when you sweat. That way, you’ll reduce the risk of heat stress, maintain normal body function, and maintain your performance levels

Don’t be afraid to ask questions:
Our renowned instructors will encourage you to explore your limits, ignite your creativity, and showcase your unique expression. Take advantage of their direction by asking for guidance, seeking reassurance, and watching them attentively.

Don’t worry if you’re feeling a bit nervous – we’re here to make sure you have an amazing experience from start to finish. As you step through our doors, expect a warm welcome and a supportive environment where you can thrive.
