Tips for Choosing the Right Pole Dance Shoes

New to pole dancing? Choosing the right pair of pole dance shoes can literally feel like a make or break decision. But don’t worry! As always, we’ve got you covered with some beginner-friendly tips to help you find the perfect pair for your pole dancing journey.

#1: Consider the heel height.

As a beginner, it’s wise to start with 7 inch heels. Although 7 inches may sound very high, shorter pole dancing shoes have a lower platform with a high stiletto which will result in the foot being in more of an arched position ultimately causing increased foot pains.

#2: Think about the style of the shoe.

While stiletto sandals may look super sleek and sexy, they’re not always the most practical choice for beginners. Boots may be a better alternative especially if you are not as comfortable dancing in platform heels as they help keep your feet firmly in place while you focus on perfecting your moves.

#3: Prioritize comfort and durability.

Look for shoes made from high-quality materials that provide adequate cushioning and support for your feet. Breathable fabrics like leather or suede are great options, as they’ll keep your feet cool and comfortable during those intense pole sessions.

#4: Don’t forget to try before you buy!

Every foot is unique, so what works for someone else may not necessarily work for you. Take the time to try on different styles and sizes to find the perfect fit for your feet. And remember, it’s okay to take it slow and experiment with different shoe options until you find the ones that feel just right.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be strutting your stuff in style and confidence in no time.

Happy dancing!
