Frequently Asked Questions
Aerial Fifty Two is an inclusive space for all people to participate and feel included. We do not discriminate by gender, sexuality, ethnicity, job, religion, politics etc. All are welcome as long as hate and violence do not come into the studio. No form of bullying (ie. Online or in studio) will be tolerated. Private lessons are also available for those who would prefer to train in a discrete, one-on-one setting. Please contact us for more information on private training.
How do I sign up for classes?
If you have not already done so, please create a profile on our website or via the MindBody mobile app. Upon purchase of a membership you will be able to sign up for classes. Clients must pre-register for classes to reserve their spot and registration opens 4 days in advance. Clients with a Groupon voucher must also create a profile on our website and send the PDF version of the Groupon voucher to info@aerialfiftytwo.com so that the credits can be added to the account created.
PLEASE NOTE: There is absolutely no admittance to class 5 minutes after start time.If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, we reserve the right to give your spot to another student as you have now missed half of the class warm up. All first time clients must arrive 15 minutes before the class start time to sign the waiver and disclosures.
What does “Add to Waitlist” mean?
This is an indication that the particular class is full. You can sign up to be on the wait list, as sometimes people will opt out early from classes making room for those on the wait list. When a student opts out of the class you will receive an automatic email letting you know you have been moved from the wait list into class. Late cancel and no show policies still apply. If you purchase a Single Class in order to reserve your spot on a Waitlist and are then not added into the class, the single class will NOT be refunded onto your method of payment but rather it will be applied to your MindBody account for you to use to sign up for a class at Aerial Fifty Two at a later date (within 3 months of the purchase date).
What if I need to cancel a class reservation?
You may opt out of a class up to 12 hours before start time. If you do not cancel your class online at least 12 hours before the class start time, you will be charged the $10 late cancel fee. If you do not show up to a class in which you pre-registered, you will be charged the $20 no-show fee.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept email or phone calls as forms of cancellations.
Email or phone call cancellations are only accepted in the event of inclement weather. If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, late cancellation and no-show fees will not be charged. If classes remain scheduled during inclement weather but you are uncomfortable traveling to the studio, you must notify us promptly via telephone or email to ensure that the corresponding credit is applied to your account and that late cancellation/no-show fees are waived.
PopUp Class / Workshop Reservations: You may cancel up to 72 hours before the PopUp Class / Workshop date in order to receive the credit back to your Aerial Fifty Two account. Cancellations for any PopUp Class / Workshop must be received and confirmed via email to info@aerialfiftytwo.com to ensure the credit on your Aerial Fifty Two account is applied accordingly. No compensation is available for cancellations received less than 72 hours before the PopUp Class / Workshop start date or for non-attendance.
PLEASE NOTE: Aerial Fifty Two will always notify all PopUp Class / Workshop participants via email, of any cancellations or scheduling changes.
What do I wear to class?
Fitted workout clothing allowing for freedom of movement are recommended. Shorts are suggested for all pole classes as you will need bare skin along the knees, shins, and upper thighs to grip the pole although leggings can also be worn. Refer to the class descriptions for specific attire recommendations. Please do not apply oil-based lotions before class as this will make the pole and floor slippery and be prepared to remove rings, bracelets, and watches prior to the start of class.
I’m brand new to pole dancing/aerial hoop (lyra)/silk hammock and have not been very active lately. Can I participate in these classes? Where would I even start?
Most of our classes are made for all fitness levels and are designed to help clients gain strength and body awareness. We recommend consulting your physician before starting a new fitness program if you are unsure. Clients who are brand new to pole dancing should start with an Intro to Pole class to learn the fundamental movements required to progress in this sport. Contact us if you are interested in trying another aerial apparatus and are wondering where to start.
I’ve taken classes at another studio, do I have to start with intro level classes?
Thank you for choosing Aerial Fifty Two! Give us a call to schedule an assessment with a Dance Captain. One of our instructors will go through various movements and exercises on the pole, aerial hoop (lyra), or silk hammock with you in order to place you into the appropriate class(es).
What kind of memberships do you offer?
We offer a Casual 1 Month Membership, priced at $189 +tax. This membership includes 12 classes at any level, for the month. Another casual drop-in option are our class packs, you may consider purchasing our 10, 20- or the 50 class pack. View our pricing here.
A more popular option that offers both flexibility and value to help you maximize your experience and enjoy unlimited access to your favorite classes, are our Autopay memberships.
What is an Autopay Membership?
So you’ve fallen in love with pole and want to come to classes more often! Autopay allows you to register for your favourite classes without hassle. Upon signing up for your preferred Autopay Membership, your credit card will be charged monthly indefinitely (3-month minimum commitment required). Choosing autopay means you agree to pay for 3 consecutive months with no pauses, transfers, refunds or exchanges. There are different Autopay Memberships to choose from and each autopay contract is subject to different perks. Click here for more information.
Autopay membership holders have the option to freeze their membership if needed. Memberships can be paused for up to one month at a time, after which 30 days’ notice is required to either reinstate your membership or extend the pause. While your membership is frozen, a monthly freeze fee of $49+hst will be billed on your regular billing date. Once the freeze period ends, your membership will automatically resume at your regular membership rate. The freeze fee ensures that your membership spot is held for you without disruption, allowing you to return to your regular classes smoothly without needing to restart your contract or lose your original membership terms.
To cancel an autopay membership, you must send via registered mail, email, or deliver in person to the address or email address below, a written notice of your intent to cancel the membership 30 days before your next billing date. Should you request to cancel your membership without providing the required notice, and/or before the agreed end term of your membership, your last payment will be charged by us as scheduled. Please wait for a reply from Aerial Fifty Two confirming the cancellation request.
